well yes that’s somewhat true. one of my favorite things about our new farm is that it came with a classic ’53 John Deere. i don’t know if i’d go as far as calling it sexy but honestly… it was a huge selling point. of course the 3 point bleeds oil but i’ve found the perfect person who loves working old tractors, is honest and charges a fair price!

Quite literally… tons of steel!
i guess that’s like buns of steel? no not really but i would imagine there is over a ton of steel in that contain that was left on the property as scrap. it will be headed to the recycling center soon!
Picollo & Zita
picollo and zita love their new farm and love (even more) sitting in the sunlight from the kitchen windows! 🙂
Enter at A!
Here’s the future “enter at A” for our dressage court!
Carrara loves her new temporary pasture!
“There’s just soooo much more room to walk around in compared to that silly stall!” she says!
Remember that old TV show Sanford & Son?
It was about the father and son team that sold junk? This is what Wauchope Yard and HorseGirlTV Studios property is feeling like right now. How (and often more importantly why) people collect so much junk is just beyond me. We have our work cut out for us but it’s no challenge that can’t be met through a few weeks of hard clean up work. I’m working on finding recycling centers and discovering just what we can and cannot recycle out here in hopes to keep out trash/landfill pile as small as possible!
Junk, junk and more junk…
First snow and morning at Wauchope Yard!
We moved to the new farm to be welcomed with a large NC snow storm. The snow actually stuck to the ground which I’m guessing is a tad uncommon down here! LOL! This is the farm our first morn there and before we’ve had a second to start cleaning up from our long to do list!
US Equestrian Federation Annual Convention in Ohio
Here’s Ex and I just before the evening event!
Me and Mr. David O’Connor!
It’s a girl!
We’re adopting a 6 month old Weimaraner female. Picollo now has a sister and she’s also German!
